Under the patronage of the Department of Economic Development, the Dubai Shopping Malls Group was formed in 1995 to promote and foster the dynamic Shopping Malls industry in the Emirate of Dubai.

DSMG representatives from different malls across Dubai work as a team to represent the industry at various forums and to the government. Meetings and forums to promote idea-exchange and disseminate knowledge are a monthly affair. The Group also plans and implements joint marketing efforts to increase footfall and sales in member malls.
